It was more AG stuff than I've ever seen in one place, and it left me absolutely DROOLING!

Today was set-up day for the "Providence O'Christmas Trees Celebration" at the Westin Seattle hotel, and my dad volunteered me to help him drop off the HUGE ark he made to go with our office's Noah's Ark-themed tree.

Now, I think it's bad enough that not only do I still live at home, but my dad and I also work together. There's not really any separation in my two worlds...it's like there's always a piece of home at work, and always a piece of work at home. So I was trying to be a good sport, but I wasn't all that excited about spending the last day of my four-day vacation at, well, work.

That is...until I saw the tree that was going up next to our tree. It's...an AMERICAN GIRL tree! Kit's at the top, wearing her Christmas dress and holding out a star, and I also saw Josefina, Addy, Kirsten, Molly, Kaya, Samantha, and Nellie being unpacked. Plus the mini-dolls, and Kit's bed, Samantha's desk, and Kaya's teepee.

The trees and all their decorations are auctioned off to benefit Providence Senior and Community Services, so one (or maybe several) little girl(s) is/are going to be VERY happy this holiday season. There's also a trip that goes with some of the trees, like ours I think is a cruise for two, in keeping with the Noah's Ark theme. Theirs is, you guessed it...a trip to AG Place. I'm not sure if it's Chicago or New York though. The trees usually go for up to $10,000, so I don't think it's in the budget for this year but I'm going to try to go back for the free viewing tomorrow when everything's set up, and I'll see if I can take pictures. Along with pictures of our ark, which is actually pretty darn cool.

What really floored me was that one of the ladies working on the AG tree said "This is going to be a tough tree to be next to" when she saw our ark. I was like "Oh, I don't think you'll have any trouble." It's not really a competition anyway, since it all goes to a great cause.

If anyone in the Seattle area wants to check it out, there's a free viewing tomorrow, and then a Santa Claus brunch on Tuesday for $40 a person. The dinner and auction is Wednesday and costs $275 a person. All the information is here: http://www.providence.org/Long_Term_...s/default.htm. I hope some of you can go see it for yourself!

Editing to add pics!
